Children ages three to Pre-Kindergarten are so inclined to hear and listen to what is expected of them. They are receptive to instructions and have fun interacting with others. In most services, we separate the children into two groups: 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds to Pre-K. We provide this seperation during class time to offer specifically geared age-appropriate acitivies. The groups then join back together during the service time.

The classes begin with a welcome activity designed to help the children interact with other children and volunteers. The activies range from puzzles, books, chalkboards, coloring, and lesson-based games. The remainder of the class is composed of structured acitivties such as: praising the Lord, prayer and offering, crafts, and a Bible lesson. All of the activities are creative and intereactive to provide the children a sense of biblical understanding while having fun at the same time. Below is an outline of what your children will experience throughout the service.

3-year-olds to pre-K join together in the service room for the following:

Praise & Worship
In the service room, we teach the children why we raise our hands, clap, sing, and dance before the Lord--to praise and worship Him! They will sing songs that encourage them to have fun with purpose. It is the ideal introduction to their first experience in praise and worship. (Click here to hear a sample of the music)

Bible Lesson
Following praise and worship, we instruct Bible stories with a cast of fun characters. These interactive lessons are both developmentally and spiritually appropriate for your child, as well as fun! They will instill biblical concepts that your children can understand and grow from.

The following occurs in each individual 3-year-old, 4-year-old, and pre-K classroom:

Craft Time
Repeating the Bible story through a craft is important at this age because it helps children comprehend the information. We re-affirm the lesson with an interactive craft that allows the teacher to walk through the story, while giving each child a hands-on approach to learn about God. Along with the weekly craft, a description of the story is included so that parents can review and discuss the story with their children at home.

Memory Verse
By memorizing scripture, your child will ultimately learn to apply the verses to their life. The Bible verses are selected to directly support the month’s theme for the lessons. Your child’s teacher can provide you with a list of the month’s memory verse or verses to take home. (Click here to print this month’s list)

Prayer & Offering
During this time, the children have an opportunity to speak with God. At the end of class everyone comes together to bless the offering, to thank God for the things He has given them, and for those in their life such as: parents, family, church, home, and friends.
